Hello and Welcome!

My name is Jeff Goetz.

As of the end of 2023, I’m a retired engineer, but that’s only a sliver of who I am.

I am a Gen X husband and empty nest father.

I’m not one niche and I’ll bet you’re not either. I have many interests, hobbies and activities.

I’m not focusing on one niche. That’s going against the grain of what people and the ‘algorithm’ expects.

So be it. I’m doing this to have fun, share my creative interests and experiences, connect with like minded folks all while exploring this world we live in.

I’m living life and sharing my experiences. Goetz Living is an outlet for creative interests and sharing things I learn. It’s my next chapter in life.

So, who is this site for?

If you’re Gen X, or just a person interested in the topics I write about, then this site and the connected sites are the places for you!

You don’t have to be interested in all of my topics, but join the journey and keep an eye for the topics you like.

I suspect my writing will resonate with Gen X folks, but all are welcome!

What you’ll find here?

I made the Goetz Living site my overall landing page and focal point for my online activities. Last year, I realized I had lots of different websites I was using in various forms and no place to connect the dots. Add on the risk that social media platforms may one day block you from your own account and I wanted to create a space that I controlled.

And, Goetz Living was born!

Where should you start?

Start with your areas of interest! Here’s how the site is broken up:

(Note: If you’ve found this website already, you’ll see I’m still building it out with content. My first step was to build the structure. Next step is to migrate/store my existing Medium.com articles (ongoing, as of July-2026), and then push to get the above four sections populated. My goal is by end-2026 to have this ready for a public announcement that the site is fully live.)
